About four years ago we reviewed the Hilti\u00a0SID 18-A Cordless Impact Driver<\/a>. \u00a0Since then, this has been my go to driver, I love it. \u00a0So when Hilti said they have another impact driver in the 22V line, I knew it was something I wanted to try out. \u00a0Now I have to admit, I am a huge Hilti fan. \u00a0Not because they pay us, but it has been one of those tools that have never let me down. \u00a0I am not saying they don’t break or they don’t have defective tools, but I rarely every talk to someone who said they had theirs break or had a defective tool. \u00a0To me, this speaks a lot about a company and the product. \u00a0Couple that with their top of the line warranty (20-2-1) and their fleet management program, not too many manufacturers can compete with them.<\/p>\n

Now if you are looking for a ton of new features on this impact driver, you will be disappointed. \u00a0The tool can’t talk to you, there isn’t an app for your phone, there is no Bluetooth and it doesn’t have a setting for metal screws. \u00a0While all the other manufacturers are trying to trick out their impact drivers, Hilti didn’t go that way with the SID 4-A22<\/a>. \u00a0This is a pure impact driver that offers precision, toughness and is made for the true professional.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>When you pull the trigger, it’s one of the easiest drivers I have used to keep a consistent speed. \u00a0So if you are driving metal screws, it’s very easy to keep a low speed and then drive it home. \u00a0While it does offer 3-speed settings, it’s easy to control at any speed, something that lacks with many other drivers on the market. \u00a0Hilti isn’t your homeowner brand, it’s a tool made for the real world. \u00a0It’s a tool designed to take a tough use on any job site. \u00a0One thing I noticed on this impact driver is where the battery fits onto the tool. \u00a0I know some don’t look at it as a big deal, but I do. \u00a0All most all the impact drivers we have tested over the years has play between the battery and the tool. \u00a0Not with this driver. \u00a0The fit is so perfect that you can’t even move the battery. \u00a0Again it might not be a big deal to you, but over the years this\u00a0small movement can lead to bigger issues.<\/p>\n

I know you probably think I am a salesman\u00a0for Hilti, but I am not. \u00a0It’s just a tool and company I believe in. \u00a0Take any other manufacturer tool on the market, put it next to this Hilti and you will see the difference. \u00a0The quality of the\u00a0Hilti stands out. \u00a0I love everything about it from the bigger battery footprint so it stands up easier to the quiet and smooth variable speed trigger. \u00a0I have to admit, this is my favorite impact on the market.<\/p>\n
